Diversity & Inclusion in Government Relations Survey
The Diversity and Inclusion in Government Relations Survey, a project of the Diversity in Government Relations Coalition, is a mixed methods study of the government relations profession with a specific focus on employee demographics and workplace experiences. The survey gathers self-reported information from individual employees that work directly or indirectly to influence local, state, and federal policy.
This is the first industry survey that collects and reports diversity among race/ethnicity, gender, political affiliation, disability, sexual orientation, religion, and other areas of difference, in addition to workplace experiences. These data will be useful for corporations, non-profit organizations, lobbying firms, law firms, associations, trades, and policymakers to assess the current state of their organizational and policymaking apparatus to ensure it reflects and represents the growing diversity of the nation.
We commit to utilizing the data to recommend solutions and put forth evidence-based best practices that govern our actions and further promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in positions of leadership and throughout the field.
Thank you for partnering with us as we work towards a more diverse industry.
